Duterte Appoints Martires as Supreme Court Justice

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Samuel Martires as a Supreme Court justice. Martires is expected to be friendly with the administration, as among his decisions was one in which sided with Duterte in a case filed by a political rival.
