Two recent moves by President Rodrigo Duterte involving businessmen Roberto Ongpin and Jack Lam have sparked further fears of the return of the Marcos family as cronies of the new administration. Ongpin had sold his shares in a gaming company at a steeply discounted price to Gregorio Araneta, the dictator’s son-in-law. Jack Lam’s casino in Ilocos, which is a stronghold of the Marcos family, was shut down after bribery charges
