Current Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP, Philippine central bank) governor Amando Tetangco Jr. has reportedly been asked to serve a third six-term as head of the agency. He has already served two terms, and while the law does not permit a third term, Congress is said to be willing to make amendments if Tetangco accepts the offer.
