Sen. de Lima Warns Prison Riot Might Be Tactic Against Opposition

Sen. Leila de Lima warned that the administration might be employing scare tactics that have the eventual goal of silencing the opposition. This came about after a jail riot killed a drug lord and injured another prisoner whom de Lima said was a government asset during her time as justice secretary. The senator suggested that the riot victims might have been deliberately targeted as a warning to other felons who refuse to testify against de Lima.
