Remittances Up by 3.2% in First Half of 2016

Remittances expanded by 4.8 percent to $2.33 billion in June, the biggest increase since the 8.4 percent recorded in February. For the first semester, remittances hit $13.19 billion, up 3.2 percent year-on-year. The government projects a growth rate of four percent this year after last year’s increase of 4.6 percent.
