Exports Continue to Decline, Down 4.1% in April

Exports hit $4.254 billion in April, a 4.1% fall from the same month in 2015. The decline accelerated from the 2.8% contraction recorded in April 2015 but was slower than March’s 15.1% drop. Exports have contracted since April last year. Year-to-date, exports have declined 7.3% to $17.363 billion from $18.738 billion during the same period in 2015.
